Ms. Jordan has been an avid reader all her life. Her love of reading had precipitated habits of reading to her children and grandchildren since they were infants, and throughout their early elementary school grades. This has been one of the highlights of her life. Now, one of her goals is to instill the love of reading into young children through her books, which inspire and motivate children to be the best they can be, while they learn at the same time. She has published three children’s books and is working on the fourth. She plans to continue writing children’s books and to eventually write a family history book. In addition, she enjoys swimming and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Yet another great book by Ms. Joyner. I appreciate and love the way she brought attention to the challenges special needs children face. A meaningful book that educates. Awesome!

This is my first time reviewing a children’s book. As a mother and grandmother, I will say that this book is something I will let my granddaughter read. It teaches your child that everyone isn’t the same. You don’t treat people differently just because they are different. I would recommend this book for the classroom.

As we get older we forget what it is like to think about things as a child. I love the ways Yvette explores what “no child left behind” means in her life. Yvette also reminds us how children are accepting of all people of all abilities and backgrounds. This is a wonderful book, not only for children but adults who need to be reminded of what love and acceptance really are.

I really enjoyed reading this book about school-age friendship. I think it shows that you do not have to be exactly like your friend because you can have fun together learning about your differences. It really made me nostalgic for my grade school friend. I would recommend this book not only to young readers but to adults who want to remember what it felt like to have childhood friends.
